Biography
Ian Burfield is an English actor born on 9 November 1964 in London. He trained at Mountview Theatre School and the Actors Studio, and is a company member of the National Theatre.
Burfield has appeared in numerous television series, often in police or detective roles, including multiple characters across 39 episodes of EastEnders (notably DCI Peter Arthurs from 2018) and 12 episodes of The Bill. His film credits include V for Vendetta (2005) as the Tweed Coat Fingerman, The International (2009) as Thomas Schumer, and The Selfish Giant (2013) as Mick Brazil. He has also performed in National Theatre productions screened as part of National Theatre Live, including The Kitchen (2011) and The Comedy of Errors (2012).
