Biography
James Eckhouse is an American actor and director. He trained at the Juilliard School, where he received a BFA in drama, and studied briefly at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before beginning his career in the early 1980s.
He is best known for playing Jim Walsh, the father of Brandon and Brenda, in the series Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–1995 as a series regular, with later guest appearances). Eckhouse directed three episodes of the show. His other film credits include Trading Places (1983), Fatal Attraction (1987), Big (1988) and The Avengers (2012). He has appeared in numerous television series such as Criminal Minds, Castle, NCIS and The Rookie.
