Biography
James S. Levine is an American composer. He studied at Tufts University, graduating in 1996 with a degree in American Studies, and moved to Hollywood the following year to begin his career. He has worked with Remote Control Productions and provided additional music for films scored by Hans Zimmer.
Levine has composed for numerous television series. His credits include Damages (2007–2012), Glee (2009–2015), Nip/Tuck (2003–2010), The Closer (2005–2012), Rizzoli & Isles (2010–2016), American Horror Story (2011–2014) and The Last Ship (2014–2018). He has also scored films such as The In-Laws (2003), Running with Scissors (2006) and The Weather Man (2005). Levine has received multiple BMI and ASCAP awards.
