Biography
Janel Moloney is an American actress. Born on 3 October 1969 in Woodland Hills, California, she trained at the acting conservatory at the State University of New York at Purchase and is the niece of actress Christine Ebersole.
She is best known for her role as Donna Moss on the television series The West Wing (1999–2006). Moloney began as a recurring guest star but appeared in every episode of the first season and was promoted to the main cast from the second season. She received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, in 2002 and 2004, and shared Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2001 and 2002.
Moloney has appeared in guest roles on series including ER (1995), House (2008), The Leftovers (2014–2017) and The Undoing (2020). She has been married to composer Marcelo Zarvos since 2010.
