Biography
Jason Winer is an American director, producer, writer, actor and comedian. He was born on 7 December 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland, and attended Northwestern University. He is an alumnus of the Improv Olympic Theatre.
Winer directed the pilot and 22 further episodes of the ABC series Modern Family (2009), for which he won a Directors Guild of America Award and shared an Emmy as co-executive producer. He has directed episodes of series including New Girl, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, Life in Pieces and Single Parents. His feature credits include Arthur (2011) and Ode to Joy (2019). He is directing episodes of the Apple TV+ series Brothers (2026).
