Biography
Jeffrey Katzenberg is an American film producer. He was born on 21 December 1950 in New York City. He began his career at Paramount Pictures before becoming chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994, where he oversaw the production of animated features including The Lion King (1994).
In 1994 he co-founded DreamWorks SKG with Steven Spielberg and David Geffen. At DreamWorks he served as executive producer on numerous animated films, including Chicken Run (2000), Shrek 2 (2004) and How to Train Your Dragon (2010). He produced Shrek (2001).
Katzenberg later founded the investment firm WndrCo.
