Biography

Jim Clay is an English production designer. He studied architecture before joining BBC Television's art department in the 1970s.

His early television work included production design on the Dennis Potter series The Singing Detective (1986), for which he received a BAFTA nomination. He later won BAFTA awards for the mini-series Christabel and the film Children of Men (2006). Clay has designed numerous films, including The Crying Game (1992), Love Actually (2003), Match Point (2005) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017), as well as the series House of the Dragon (2022).
