Biography

Jody Worth is an American television writer and producer. He is the son of producer and screenwriter Marvin Worth.

Worth began his television writing career on Hill Street Blues in 1987. He contributed as a writer and in various production roles on NYPD Blue from 1994, including story and teleplay credits on multiple episodes and producer positions across several seasons. He joined the crew of Deadwood in 2004 as a writer and consulting producer for the first season, advancing to supervising producer for the second season in 2005. He wrote four episodes across the two seasons.

Worth and the Deadwood production staff received Emmy Award and Writers Guild of America Award nominations for Outstanding Drama Series. He later worked as supervising producer and writer on The Protector (2011) and as consulting writer on Shades of Blue (2018).
