Biography
Mark Tinker is an American television director and producer. Born on 16 January 1951 in Stamford, Connecticut, he graduated from Syracuse University in 1973. He began his career in production before moving into directing and producing on series including The White Shadow and St. Elsewhere.
Tinker has directed and produced episodes of NYPD Blue, Chicago Hope, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and American Gods. He served as executive producer and director on the third season of Deadwood (2006), working with creator David Milch. He has won four Primetime Emmy Awards.
