Biography
Joe Cobden is a Canadian actor and filmmaker. Born on 7 October 1978 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he began performing as a child street vaudevillian before enrolling in 1996 at Concordia University’s Theatre Performance Programme in Montreal.
He is known for supporting roles in films including The Day After Tomorrow (2004), Source Code (2011), The Vow (2012), Arrival (2016) and X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). Cobden appears as Bob Fortier in the 2026 film The Stunt Driver. He has received Gemini Award and Canadian Screen Award nominations, and has directed shorts that have premiered at festivals such as TIFF and SXSW.
