Biography
Joe Lo Truglio is an American actor and comedian. He was born on 2 December 1970 in Ozone Park, Queens, New York City, and attended New York University, where he joined the sketch comedy group that became The State.
He appeared in all three seasons of the MTV series The State (1993–1995) and later joined the cast of Reno 911!. His film roles include Wet Hot American Summer (2001), Superbad (2007) as Francis the Driver, Role Models (2008), Paul (2011) and Wanderlust (2012). He is best known for playing Charles Boyle in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013–2021).
Lo Truglio has also provided voice work for animated projects including Wreck-It Ralph (2012) and Rick and Morty.
