Biography
John Bowe is an English actor. Born John Wilson on 1 February 1950 in Greasby, Cheshire, he trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
He is known for his role as George Marlow in the first series of Prime Suspect (1991). Other television credits include Duggie Ferguson in Coronation Street (1999–2002), Lawrence White in Emmerdale (2014–2018), appearances in Midsomer Murders, Silent Witness, The Hour (2011), Ashes to Ashes (2008), DCI Banks (2011) and Cranford (2007). Film roles include Colonel Feyador in The Living Daylights (1987) and parts in Cleopatra (1999) and Gozo (2015).
