Biography
John Fleck (also credited as John W. Fleck) is an American actor and performance artist. Born on 7 May 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio, he has appeared in numerous television series and films.
He is known for playing Gecko in the series Carnivàle (2003) and for guest roles across the Star Trek franchise, including Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. His film credits include Falling Down (1993), Waterworld (1995) and Velvet Buzzsaw (2019).
Fleck is one of the NEA Four, a group of performance artists who successfully sued the National Endowment for the Arts after their grants were withdrawn in 1990 on grounds of alleged obscenity. He has also performed self-scripted one-man shows and appeared in series such as Murder One, True Blood and The Orville.
