Biography
John Patrick was an American playwright and screenwriter. Born John Patrick Goggin in Louisville, Kentucky, he began his career in radio before writing for the stage and screen.
His plays include The Hasty Heart (1945) and the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Teahouse of the August Moon (1953). He adapted several of his works for film and wrote screenplays for Three Coins in the Fountain (1954), Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing (1955), High Society (1956), Les Girls (1957) and The World of Suzie Wong (1960).
