Biography
John Schuck is an American actor who has worked in film, television and theatre. Born Conrad John Schuck Jr. on 4 February 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts, he studied at Denison University and trained at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
He made his film debut as Capt. 'Painless' Waldowski in MASH (1970) and appeared in several other films directed by Robert Altman, including McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) as Smalley and Thieves Like Us (1974). On television he played Sgt. Charles Enright in McMillan & Wife (1971–1977) and Herman Munster in The Munsters Today (1988–1991). He is also known for portraying a Klingon Ambassador in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), and for recurring roles in the Law & Order* franchise.
