Biography

Kant Pan is a film and sound editor. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Malaysia and Singapore, he studied psychology at the University of Hong Kong before training in film production at the London Film School.

He began his career in the British film industry as an assistant editor on titles including Never Say Never Again (1983) and The Fly (1986), and worked as a sound editor on films such as Dangerous Liaisons (1988) and The Grifters (1990). Pan received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for his work on The Crying Game (1992).

His subsequent editing credits include Boogie Woogie (2009), Love's Kitchen (2011) and Back Roads (2018).
