Biography
Karen Gilchrist is a film and television producer, also credited early in her career as Karen M. Johnson or Karen Johnson. She began working in production as an office production assistant on The Fast and the Furious (2001) and later served as assistant to producer Scott Stuber on films including The Break-Up (2006) and The Kingdom (2007).
Gilchrist has collaborated extensively with director Jon Favreau, starting as his assistant on Iron Man (2008). She advanced to associate producer on Iron Man 2 (2010), co-producer on Cowboys & Aliens (2011), executive producer on Chef (2014) and The Jungle Book (2016), and producer on The Lion King (2019). She has also served as co-executive producer on the Star Wars series The Mandalorian (2019) and related projects.
