Biography
Katie Holmes is an American actress. Born in Toledo, Ohio, she began acting after teen modelling with a supporting role in Ang Lee's The Ice Storm (1997). She rose to prominence as Joey Potter in the television series Dawson's Creek (1998–2003).
Holmes has appeared in films including Go (1999), Wonder Boys (2000), Phone Booth (2003), Batman Begins (2005) as Rachel Dawes, Thank You for Smoking (2005), The Giver (2014), Woman in Gold (2015) and Logan Lucky (2017) as Bobbie Jo Chapman. She has also worked in television and made her Broadway debut in a revival of All My Sons.
