Biography
Keith Powell is an American actor, writer and director. He is best known for playing James 'Toofer' Spurlock, a writer on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock (2006–2013).
Powell was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and trained at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a BFA in 2001. He began in regional theatre before moving into television and film.
He created, wrote, directed and starred in the web series Keith Broke His Leg (2015), which won several Indie Series Awards in 2016. His other credits include appearances in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), This Is Us (2016) and Shrinking (2023), as well as directing episodes of series such as Superstore and Dickinson.
