Biography

Kelvin Pike is an Australian-born cinematographer and camera operator. Born in 1929, he is based in the United Kingdom and worked extensively in British and international film production.

He is known for his camera operating credits on major productions including Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Where Eagles Dare (1968) and The Shining (1980). He later served as director of photography on The Dresser (1983), A Dry White Season (1989) and other films of the 1980s. He was educated at Haberdashers' Aske's Hampstead School in London.
