Biography
Kirk Acevedo is an American actor. He trained at the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and earned a BFA from the State University of New York at Purchase, where he founded the theatre company The Rorschach Group.
Acevedo is known for his portrayal of Miguel Alvarez in the HBO series Oz (1997–2003) and as Staff Sergeant Joseph D. Toye in the miniseries Band of Brothers (2001). He also played FBI Agent Charlie Francis in the series Fringe (2008–2013) and appeared in films including The Thin Red Line (1998) and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014). He has received an ALMA Award and several nominations for his television and film work.
