Biography
Lindsay Doran (born 22 June 1948) is an American film producer and studio executive. She was born in Los Angeles, California, to film executive D. A. Doran and Marion Avery, who worked in the play department at Columbia Pictures. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Doran began her career as a studio executive at Paramount Pictures, where she oversaw development on films including Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) and This Is Spinal Tap (1984). In 1989 she joined Mirage Enterprises as a producer. There she produced Dead Again (1991) and Sense and Sensibility (1995), the latter developed with Emma Thompson. Her other producing credits include The Firm (1993), Stranger Than Fiction (2006), Nanny McPhee (2005) and Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010).
