Biography
Liz Trubridge is a British television and film producer. She joined the BBC after university, progressing from first assistant director and script editor to her first producing roles. Her collaboration with writer Julian Fellowes began on the 2009 feature From Time to Time and continued on the period drama Downton Abbey.
Trubridge served as series producer and later executive producer across all six series of Downton Abbey (2010–2015). She produced the feature films Downton Abbey (2019) and Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022), and is credited as producer on Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale (2025). Other credits include The Last Kingdom (2015–2017), Belgravia (2020) as executive producer, and Lockerbie: A Search for Truth (2025) as executive producer. In late 2024 she co-founded the production company New Empire Pictures with actor Matt Barber.
She won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2011 for Outstanding Miniseries or Movie for Downton Abbey and has received multiple BAFTA, Golden Globe and Producers Guild of America nominations and awards.
