Biography
Lorenzo Semple Jr. was an American screenwriter and playwright. He wrote the screenplays for the films Papillon (1973) and Three Days of the Condor (1975).
Semple created the 1960s television series Batman and wrote screenplays for films including The Parallax View (1974), King Kong (1976), Flash Gordon (1980) and Never Say Never Again (1983). He was born on 27 March 1923 in Mount Kisco, New York, and died on 28 March 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
