Biography
Ludger Pistor is a German actor. He was born on 16 March 1959 in Recklinghausen and trained at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York. He began his career in theatre in Munich and made his screen debut in 1986.
Pistor is known in Germany for his long-running role as detective Klaus Krapp in the television series Balko (1995–2005), for which he received the Adolf-Grimme-Preis in 1996 and the Deutscher Fernsehpreis in 1999. Internationally he has appeared in Schindler's List (1993) as Josef Liepold, Run Lola Run (1998) as Mr Meier, Casino Royale (2006) as Mendel, Inglourious Basterds (2009) as Captain Wolfgang and X-Men: First Class (2011) as a German farmer.
