Biography
Marci Rodgers is an American costume designer working in film, television and stage. She was born in Evanston, Illinois, and graduated with a BBA from Howard University. After assisting Broadway costume designer Reggie Ray, she earned an MFA in costume design from the University of Maryland in 2016.
Rodgers began working in film after Spike Lee hired her as a production assistant on Chi-Raq (2015). She has since collaborated frequently with Lee and designed costumes for BlacKkKlansman (2018), High Flying Bird (2019), No Sudden Move (2021), Passing (2021), Till (2022) and Michael (2026). Her television credits include She's Gotta Have It (2017–2019) and Wu-Tang: An American Saga (2019).
She won a Hamilton Behind the Camera Award for Till in 2022 and has received nominations from the Black Reel Awards, Costume Designers Guild and London Film Critics' Circle.
