Biography
Michael Arndt is an American screenwriter. His first feature screenplay, for Little Miss Sunshine (2006), won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
He has written or co-written the screenplays for Toy Story 3 (2010), The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and, with Michael Lesslie, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023). He has also received writing credits under the pseudonyms Michael deBruyn and Rick Kerb, primarily for revisions. Arndt studied at New York University.
