Biography
Michael O'Neill is an American actor. He graduated from Auburn University in 1974 and trained at the Theatricum Botanicum in Los Angeles under Will Geer and Ellen Geer before moving to New York to begin his career.
He is known for his recurring role as Secret Service Agent Ron Butterfield on The West Wing (1999–2006). Other television credits include appearances in 24 (2001), The Unit (2006–2009), Grey's Anatomy (2005), Prison Break (2005), The Mentalist (2008), Criminal Minds (2005), The X-Files (1993), Sons of Anarchy (2008) and Fringe (2008). Film roles include Transformers (2007), Seabiscuit (2003), Traffic (2000), J. Edgar (2011) and Dallas Buyers Club (2013) as Richard Barkley.
