Biography
Miles Jupp is an English actor and comedian. He began his career as a stand-up comedian, winning So You Think You're Funny and the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year in 2001, and receiving a Perrier Award Best Newcomer nomination in 2003.
Jupp has appeared in numerous films and television series. His credits include Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Sherlock Holmes (2009), The Monuments Men (2014), The Legend of Tarzan (2016) and Napoleon (2023) as Emperor Francis I. On television he has played roles in Rev, The Thick of It and The Crown, and hosted BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz from 2015 to 2019. He studied at the University of Edinburgh.
