Biography
Milton Krasner was an American cinematographer. Born on 17 February 1904 in Brooklyn, New York, he died on 17 July 1988 in Woodland Hills, California.
He entered the film industry as an assistant cameraman in 1917 at studios in New York and became a director of photography in 1933. He worked at 20th Century-Fox in the 1950s and was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
Krasner photographed All About Eve (1950). He won an Academy Award for Best Cinematography (Colour) for Three Coins in the Fountain (1954) and received further nominations for films including An Affair to Remember (1957) and How the West Was Won (1962). His other credits include The Seven Year Itch (1955), Bus Stop (1956), King of Kings (1961) and Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970).
