Biography

Misha Green is an American screenwriter, director and producer. She was born on 22 September 1984 in Sacramento, California. She studied film and television at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Green began her television career as a staff writer on Heroes (2006) and Sons of Anarchy (2008). She later wrote episodes of Spartacus (2010) and Helix (2014). In 2016 she co-created the historical drama series Underground with Joe Pokaski, serving as writer and executive producer across two seasons. She created, wrote and served as showrunner on the HBO series Lovecraft Country (2020), for which she received Primetime Emmy nominations. She also wrote the 2023 film The Mother.
