Biography
Moss Mabry was an American costume designer. He was born on 5 July 1918 in Marianna, Florida, and died on 25 January 2006 in Oceanside, California. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Florida, having previously designed costumes for high school plays, and later moved to Hollywood where he attended art school before signing a contract with Warner Bros.
His film credits include wardrobe work on Dial M for Murder (1954) and costume design on Rebel Without a Cause (1955), Giant (1956), The Manchurian Candidate (1962), Mutiny on the Bounty (1962), The Way We Were (1973) and King Kong (1976). He received four Academy Award nominations for costume design, for Giant (1956, shared), What a Way to Go! (1964, shared), Morituri (1965) and The Way We Were (1973, shared).
