Biography
Nick Houy is an American film editor. He is best known for his collaborations with director Greta Gerwig on Lady Bird (2017), Little Women (2019) and Barbie (2023). He also edited Bob Marley: One Love (2024).
Born in June 1982, Houy grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2004 with a BFA in Film Production. After moving to New York, he worked his way up from production assistant to editor on independent features including Fairhaven (2012), Beside Still Waters (2013) and Manhattan Romance (2014). His work on the HBO miniseries The Night Of (2016) earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Limited Series or Movie.
