Biography
Odessa Young is an Australian actress born on 11 January 1998 in Sydney. She began acting professionally at the age of 11 after taking after-school classes and attending a performing arts high school in Sydney. Her early television roles include appearances in the series Tricky Business (2012) and Wonderland (2013–2015).
Young gained prominence with leading roles in the 2015 films Looking for Grace and The Daughter, the latter earning her an AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Subsequent film credits include Assassination Nation (2018), Shirley (2020) and Mothering Sunday (2021). On television she has appeared in the miniseries The Stand (2020) and The Staircase (2022).
More recent work includes The Order (2024), in which she plays Zillah Craig, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere (2025) as Faye Romano, and the series Black Rabbit (2025) as Gen. She made her off-Broadway debut in Days of Rage (2018).
