Biography

Paul Ben-Victor is an American actor. Born Paul Friedman in Brooklyn, New York, he is the son of playwright Leah Kornfeld and Victor Friedman. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and began his screen career in 1987 with the television film Blood Vows: The Story of a Mafia Wife and an episode of Cagney & Lacey.

He is known for his role as Spiros 'Vondas' Vondopoulos in the HBO series The Wire (2002–2008) and for appearances in films including True Romance (1993), Daredevil (2003), The Irishman (2019) and Don Jon (2013). His television credits also include Entourage, True Detective and The Mentalist. Ben-Victor has co-written stage plays with his mother, including Club Soda and The Good Steno.

In 2024 he appeared as Ilan Roklov in the Netflix series Nobody Wants This.
