Biography
Paul Popplewell is a British actor. He began his professional career at the age of 16, playing the lead role of Simon in the BBC drama Criminal (1994), for which he won Best Actor at the Golden Chest Film Festival and received a Royal Television Society Award nomination.
Popplewell played Paul Ryder in 24 Hour Party People (2002) and Bod in Tyrannosaur (2011). His other credits include roles in Black Mirror (2011), '71 (2014), Peterloo (2018) and as Paul Pegg in the BBC series Casualty (2021–2023). He has also performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
