Biography

Penney Finkelman Cox is an American film producer. Born in 1951 in Havertown, Pennsylvania, she began her career in live-action, serving as co-producer on Terms of Endearment (1983) and Broadcast News (1987). She produced Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989) and Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael (1990).

Cox later moved into animation production. She produced DreamWorks' The Prince of Egypt (1998) and was executive producer on Antz (1998) and Shrek (2001). She contributed to the establishment of the DreamWorks Animation division and later worked at Sony Pictures Animation.
