Biography
Peter Biziou is a retired British cinematographer. Born on 8 August 1944 in Bangor, North Wales, he is the son of special effects cameraman and cinematographer Leon Bijou.
Biziou began working in the mid-1960s on short films and later collaborated extensively with director Alan Parker, beginning with Bugsy Malone (1976). His credits include Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979), Time Bandits (1981), Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982), Mississippi Burning (1988), In the Name of the Father (1993), The Truman Show (1998) and Unfaithful (2002).
For Mississippi Burning he received the Academy Award and BAFTA Award for Best Cinematography. He received a further BAFTA nomination for The Truman Show. After retiring he moved to southwest France.
