Biography
Peter Menzies Jr. is an Australian cinematographer. Born in Sydney, he was introduced to the film industry by his father, cinematographer and director Peter Menzies Sr. He began as a camera loader and progressed through roles as camera assistant and operator, working with directors of photography including David Gribble and Russell Boyd.
Menzies made his debut as cinematographer on the 1992 film White Sands. He has since worked on numerous feature films, including Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), A Time to Kill (1996), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Shooter (2007), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Clash of the Titans (2010), Four Brothers (2005) and Gods of Egypt (2016). He became a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society in 1996 and the American Society of Cinematographers in 2024, and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
