Biography
Phil Traill is a British film and television director. Born in New Jersey in 1973, he moved to London at the age of six. He graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in English and Film Studies.
Traill began his career in the UK directing short films, television programmes and music videos. He moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and has since directed numerous episodes of American comedy series, including Modern Family (2009), The Middle (2012–2018), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013) and Good Girls (2018). His feature films as director include All About Steve (2009) and Chalet Girl (2011). He has also written and produced for film and television.
