Biography
Claire Scanlon is an American director and editor. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she began her career editing documentaries for PBS and the Discovery Channel. After supervising post-production and producing on Last Comic Standing, she joined the editing team on The Office in its fifth season.
Scanlon directed two episodes of The Office and transitioned to directing full time in 2013. Her television credits include episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Modern Family, The Good Place, GLOW, Never Have I Ever and Abbott Elementary. Her feature films include Set It Up (2018) and The Love Hypothesis (2026). She has won a Primetime Emmy Award for her editing work.
