Biography

Linda Mendoza is an American television and film director. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on 21 October 1957, she began her career in the entertainment industry as a page and progressed through roles including production assistant and associate director before directing from the late 1990s onwards. She directed promotional segments for Fox and MTV, and sketches for Nickelodeon series including Roundhouse and All That.

Mendoza has directed episodes of numerous comedy series, including 30 Rock (2006), Gilmore Girls (2000), Scrubs, Everybody Hates Chris, The Bernie Mac Show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013), The Good Place (2016), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015), Fuller House (2016), Never Have I Ever (2020) and The Baby-Sitters Club (2020). Her feature directorial debut was Chasing Papi (2003). She won an ALMA Award in 2008 for directing an episode of Ugly Betty.
