Biography
Ray Hubley is an American film editor based in New York. He began his career in the late 1970s as an apprentice and assistant editor on films including Kramer vs. Kramer (1979), Dressed to Kill (1980), Reds (1981), Scarface (1983), The Untouchables (1987) and Carlito's Way (1993).
Hubley has edited numerous narrative features, among them Dead Man Walking (1995), View from the Top (2003), Romance & Cigarettes (2005), Another Happy Day (2011) and Boy Wonder (2010). His documentary credits include the Peabody- and Emmy-winning Billy Strayhorn: Lush Life and the Sundance-winning Valley of Saints. He has also edited television projects such as the series 100 Centre Street and has taught editing at New York University. He is the son of animators John Hubley and Faith Hubley.
