Biography
Richard Dillane is a British actor. He trained in philosophy at the University of Manchester and spent ten years in Australia before returning to the United Kingdom in 1994.
He is known for roles including Acting Commissioner in The Dark Knight (2008), OSS Officer Nicholls in Argo (2012), General Curran in Peaky Blinders (2013), King George V in The Crown (2016 and 2022), Davo Sculdun in Andor (2022–2025), and Ludeca in The Last Kingdom (2015). He has appeared in Doctor Who (2005 and 2011), Outlander (2014), The Jacket (2005) and Tristan & Isolde (2006). He also played a lead role in the Netflix series Young Wallander.
