Biography
Richard Marden (1928–2006) was a British film editor. He began his career in the sound department at Carlton Hill Studios in 1946 and later moved into editing, with his first major feature credit on the filmed stage production Othello (1965).
Over a career spanning the late 1940s to the 1990s, Marden edited numerous features across genres. His credits include Two for the Road (1967), Sunday Bloody Sunday (1971), Sleuth (1972), Evil Under the Sun (1982), Hellraiser (1987), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), Nightbreed (1990), Hamlet (1990) and Jane Eyre (1996). He frequently collaborated with directors such as Stanley Donen, John Schlesinger and Joseph L. Mankiewicz. Marden won a BAFTA Award for Best Film Editing for Sunday Bloody Sunday.
