Biography
Richard Sweren is a television writer and producer. A former public defender in Manhattan and Brooklyn, he has contributed dozens of episodes to the Law & Order franchise.
His credits on the original Law & Order (1990) include writing, teleplay and story work, as well as serving as story editor and producer. He has also written for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), Law & Order: UK (2009), Law & Order: LA (2010) and FBI: Most Wanted (2020), and contributed to the forthcoming series CIA (2026). He has received multiple Primetime Emmy nominations.
