Biography
Rick McCallum is an American film producer. Born in Heidelberg, West Germany, in 1954, he began his career in the early 1980s working with British television playwright Dennis Potter on films including Pennies from Heaven (1981) and Dreamchild (1985), and as executive producer on the BBC series The Singing Detective (1986).
McCallum is best known for his long collaboration with George Lucas. He produced the television series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (1992) and the Star Wars Special Editions (1997), followed by the prequel trilogy: Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005). He also produced Radioland Murders (1994) and later films including Red Tails (2012). McCallum retired from Lucasfilm in 2012.
