Biography

Rob Lane is a British composer for film and television. He studied film composition at the National Film and Television School and received his first major credit scoring The Young Poisoner's Handbook (1995).

He is known for his work on the HBO miniseries John Adams (2008), the film The Damned United (2009), the BBC series Merlin (2008–2012) and A Discovery of Witches (2018–2022), and other productions including Elizabeth I (2005) and Jane Eyre (2006). Lane has won a BAFTA award and received multiple Ivor Novello, RTS and Emmy nominations.
