Biography
Robin Green is an American television writer and producer. Born on 31 July 1945 in Providence, Rhode Island, she studied American literature at Brown University and earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. In the 1970s she worked as a journalist, including for Rolling Stone magazine.
Green wrote and produced for series including Northern Exposure, for which she won an Emmy Award. She contributed to 22 episodes of the HBO series The Sopranos (1999–2006) as writer, teleplay writer or story writer, and served as executive producer. With her husband Mitchell Burgess she co-created the CBS series Blue Bloods, which premiered in 2010. She received Emmy Awards for writing on The Sopranos in 2001 and 2003, and for Outstanding Drama Series in 2004.
