Biography
Roger Tucker (born 13 May 1945) is a British television and film director. Born in Bristol, England, he made his first film, Karst, at the age of 18; it screened at the 1965 British Film Institute Young Film-makers' Competition and won the Senior Trophy. He worked at Granada Television before becoming a freelance director in 1976.
Tucker has directed episodes of many British television series, including Bergerac (1981), The Professionals, Dempsey and Makepeace (1985), Lovejoy (1986), The Bill and Crown Court. He directed the 1986 television film Deadly Recruits and the feature film Waiting for Dublin (2007), which won the Seahorse Award for Best Feature Film by male filmmakers and the Audience Award at the Moondance International Film Festival.
